Exciting New Chapter: Steering AI Towards An 'Augmented' Future
Hung Pham, Abraham House's Chief of Staff, sharing his reflection as he's taking on a new role to shape the global landscape of technology innovation
Steering the ‘A’ in ‘AI’ towards ‘Augmented’: Empowering Human
I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I've joined Satalia as a Principal Consultant!
For those unfamiliar with the company, Satalia is a true pioneer in the AI landscape, often referred to as WPP's "DeepMind". We're known for our unparalleled technical talent and our ability to solve complex problems that others can't.
Founded in 2008 as a research lab, Satalia is one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK. Since our acquisition by WPP, we've been at the forefront of disruption, leveraging AI to create high-value opportunities for global leaders like PwC, Unilever, and Tesco. A key part of our mission is centred on Augmented Intelligence, empowering humans through technology and reimagining the future of work by optimising the collaboration between human and artificial intelligence.
Our greatest differentiator is our people i.e., the ‘Satalians’, humble geniuses across data science, AI, and solution design who combine exceptional intellect with genuine empathy. This unique blend ensures that our innovation is always guided by ethical principles and meaningful purpose. Recently, we were honoured with the AI for Social Good Award, a recognition of our commitment to empowering, not replacing, human brilliance.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have joined Satalia at such a pivotal moment in history: a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully and make a real difference through my capacity to do good
A Pilgrimage for Impact: A Retrospective Look on Abraham House
This new role feels like a natural extension of my lifelong mission to create a more inclusive world. This is the very reason I helped found Abraham House and served as its Chief of Staff.
Looking back, I was there at the very first conception meeting for Abraham House, and while it has evolved, its unwavering purpose remains the same: to create opportunities for people from every background to have their voices heard and to connect across borders. We're proud to be collaborating with incredible organizations like WiseKey, Harvard SHINE, and FinFit to advance this crucial mission.
Reflected on our memorable time at Davos, where we gathered with thought leaders such as Dr. David Hanson, Michael J. Casey, TRENDS, Junior Achievement, etc. to discuss the future of AI and its impact on the next generations. What sets Abraham House apart is our dedication to bringing together individuals from vastly different backgrounds. We didn't have a lavish estate; we had a tent and a persistent desire to share our stories. We carried the voices and perspectives of those who couldn't be there, a mission that resonates deeply with me, given my own humble beginnings.
We Can’t Stop Tech Advancement, But We Can Shape It, Each of Us
It's truly serendipitous how all these threads connect.
We can’t deny the potential of AI
Nor can we ignore the very real risks it poses to humanity.
But most importantly, we can’t leave our future in the hands of ‘other folks’ and simply hope for the best.
Coming from a humbling background, I feel immensely blessed to be positioned to support the reshaping of the new world in my limited capabilities, and my hope is that through my work, someone, somewhere, might also find their place in this new reality, and feel blessed themselves about their own life's journey
Join us Abraham House. Be Part of the Change
